Terms and Conditions

ALLERGY NOTICE: There are cats and a dog living in the house with us. We try to keep them away from the fur, but they sometimes come into the shop.

Deposits and Pricing:

All commissions require a 30% deposit up front.  Major changes to a design will require an updated reference sheet and may alter the overall price of the commission. Minor changes may alter the price, but will not require new artwork in most cases. All alterations to a design will only be accepted on a case by case basis.

The prices listed on our website are the base price for each type of commission. These prices will change based on the amount of extras (claws, teeth, wings, etc) in your commission.

Cancellations and Refunds:

Should you need to cancel or alter the commission before construction has begun, we will do our best to work with you. Once construction has begun, the 30% deposit is non-refundable.

We reserve the right to cancel any commission based on poor communication, verbal/written abuse, harassment, or other unforseen circumstance.

Payment:

We accept square, money orders, paypal, and well-concealed cash. We highly recommend that all snail-mail payments are sent via USPS registered mail. This allows you to verify the date and time of delivery, and also provides you with options for insurance.

Any remaining balance must be paid before any items will be shipped, and we ask that payments are no smaller than $100. We reserve the right to alter and sell any commissioned piece that has not been paid in full once 6 months have passed from the date of completion.

Artwork:

Concept art must be provided. We accept reference sheets, clear screenshots from SecondLife or similar programs, pictures of real life animals, etc. We will not accept a written description unless the markings are very simple (example, dark blue wolf with bright green eyes). Feel free to email us if you're looking for an artist to complete your reference sheet, we'll be happy to recommend some to you.

We do accept artistic liberty commissions. You do not need concept art for these.

Warranty and Repairs:

All items carry a 90 day warranty under normal use conditions. If you are outside the warranty period, email us with pictures and a detailed description of the problem and a repair estimate will be given. All items must be clean before returning them for repairs, no exceptions.

Contact:

All business related communication will only be conducted through email using info@spazzycatstudios.com. We will not respond to commission related inquiries on platforms such as twitter or furaffinity.

Please note, fursuits are not our full time job. Email responses may be slow when we are at work, our email host does not work well on mobile and getting to a computer may not be possible.

Important info:

By commissioning us, you are entering into a contract, therefore, you must be at least 18 years of age. Any commissioner that knowingly falsifies their age waives all rights to refunds, warranties, and will be permanently blacklisted from future commissions.

Please do not ask about copywritten characters or "murrsuits". We will not accept these commissions.

Rush commissions will be accepted on a limited basis and will incur extra fees. Please email us regarding rush availability.

Embroidery

There are some limitations on what can be converted to embroidery at a convention, especially at our current skill level. For while-you-wait commissions, we do best with artwork that has hard color changes instead of soft blending. We are happy to try and digitize any artwork, however, there is a certain amount of detail that can't be retained when translating art to thread.

While we are happy to embroider items like messenger bags and bandanas, we can not embroider hats at this time. Some items may not be an option and will be handled on a case by case basis. If we can comfortably fit it onto the machine, we're happy to try.
